16th July Pam came to Timaru Celebration

What a busy day! It started with Lynn and I going  into town at 9:30 am to shop, much to our surprise the shops don’t open until 10am so we drifted down the street until we found an open doorway and a shop to browse in. Over 4 hours later, 1 coffee and 2 parking changes (you can park for 2 hours before you need to move) we had bought everything worth having and our gifts for the ‘Pam came to visit’ celebration. My wardrobe has had a total makeover now and involves leggings and tunic style tops, a new and different look for me. There are 2 items left to pickup – a belt and a grey pair of shoes, which I will get at a different time.

In order to involve the men  (and Maddy) we arranged to meet at the boardwalk for a wander along the beach and into Timaru harbour.

our walk finished with ice cream all round (thank you Nick).

From here we adjourned to the kitchen, via PaknSave, to prepare our evening repast. My contribution was a cheese cake and some vegetable preparation while Lynn roasted chicken, cooked brocoflower (!), roasted the veg (red yams, parsnips, carrots, pumpkin and onions) , made gravy, sausage meat stuffing and decorated the table! It was amazing and delicious all at the same time!

After dinner we had gifts – excellent fun.

and then Lynn went to sleep . . . .
