It was the Bedford County show this weekend and as we having an adventure we took Bob to see what it was like. The show is held at Old Warden Park where the Shuttleworth collection is housed (this will be a later post as it wasn’t open on the day to look round).
After yesterdays rain Maddy and I were glad to have Welly’s, Maddy decided her trousers should go on the outside so she still ended up with mud up to her knees! Tomorrow will be a washing day.
There were trade stands, craft stalls, food stalls (the wild boar sausages were very tasty), animal stands, archery, a rifle range, falconry. . . . I will admit we missed a lot of the events in the main arena because we spent so much time with the birds because they were letting you fly them!
Hundreds of animals Alpaca, birds, dogs, donkeys, Shetland ponies, otters, ferrets, rabbits as well as a petting zoo. Sheep dog herding sheep and geese, dancing horses, bees, beagles, shire horses and their drays.
