Ivy doesn’t work on a Tuesday so after hair cuts for all we went to Stevenage to wander round the shops. Asda was the easiest place to park and we walked into town from there. After wandering round the town visiting the pound shop, Game, HMV and all our usual haunts we headed off to Burger King for lunch. It is so much more expensive here than in Egypt. Sated, Maddy, Ivy and Bob headed for the car to sit down, their legs were tired, while Geoff and I headed to Currys for an iPad. I have been looking for about 2 months now and trying out Apps with the students at school, there are some pluses and some negatives with them but as an interactive teaching tool it is easier than booking a computer suite and then finding the software you want to use isn’t there. I have set up Skype and the Kindle, Maddy has added some games and at present I am reduced to working on the laptop as she is ‘looking after it’ !
