Anzac day was Friday 25th May, the New Zealand version of poppy day so everything is shut until 1 pm. There was a medieval fair in Taupo so we wandered down there to see what was going on. Tents, sales, archery, and fighting men. No jousting though.
It took about an hour to wander round and then we popped into the museum.
The wooden thingy in Maddison’s hand was a miniature crossbow that fires pencils!
