long time no blog

Well what is there to say apart from everything is the same. Maddison and I are on half term this week, Geoff was off last week. Maddison is doing some re-sits to improve her grades from C to B’s or better while I write assessments, reports and moderate some coursework. Non of the jobs I have applied for so far have realised what they are missing, or maybe they did, anyway I keep on sending them off. Maybe we will have to live with Geoff’s mum?

On the Prophet’s birthday we had a day off so Geoff, me and a guy he knows from school went to take pictures of sunrise over the pyramids. What do you do on a day off? Get up at 4am! Mad! From here we popped across to the Khan which was empty at 8am, many of the vendors are thinking about moving on now there are fewer tourists. Then onto City Stars for breakfast at the Mexican! Back to the house for a sleep after that.

WE have been to Timothea’s for a pancake breakfast  this week. She can’t get over the fact we eat ours with ice cream on, although I found a Canadian eating them with  peanut butter and maple syrup which seemed weird to me.

We watch the tragedy that is Egypt going on around us, you would think some of the men had never read the Koran the way they treat the women! Food prices rise and the poor seem to get poorer if that is even possible. Soon there will be elections but instead of getting it done in a couple of days they are saying there will be four sessions over the next 2 months, aiming to be completed by June 6th in time for the opening of parliament.  Of course some of the opposition parties say they will not stand as it is a waste of time, everything is corrupt, how do they expect to change anything if they don’t give people the opportunity to vote for them?
