30th December The Colosseum

A mere 10 minutes walk from the hotel this was our last sightseeing experience. Maddison's feet were now recovered and Geoff's blisters were popped so there were no excuses not to visit. We arrived to find a 3 hour queue had got there before us, so rather than waiting we took some pictures and walked round the corner to the other ruins, on the map as Palatino. Here the queue was about 30 minutes and to our suprise the ticket covered the Colosseum as well which meant we could bypass the queue and walk straight in. First we walked round this more extensive set of ruins and then back to the Colosseum. 
The night shots were taken the 2nd night we were there.
